Wayman – Trusted in the Provision of Forensic Experts since 1992

Len Wayman CEO wayman forensic expertsCEO Len Wayman is an ex Traffic Police Officer who was at the very forefront of the introduction of Road Traffic Accident Investigation in the Police.

Len’s career started in Aircraft Engineering with DeHaviland where he served a five-year indentured engineering apprenticeship. In 1962 he entered Police service, where motor vehicle inspection and forensic accident investigation training and application further enhanced his skills and qualification.  He served thirty years as a road traffic specialist Police Officer, holding supervisory rank and a particular responsibility for Collision Investigation and Motor Vehicle Inspection.

On his retirement from police service in 1992, a number of solicitors and barristers encouraged him to found Wayman Consultancy, working as an Independent Accident Investigation and Vehicle Examination Consultant upon whose expertise they might call.  Practicing in both the UK and abroad, Wayman Consultancy flourished and has grown to the broad based competent team it now is.

In 2008 Len introduced his son Oggs to the team.  Oggs’s initial role was as Business Development Manager. Formerly an Army Officer and latterly a Commercial Airline Pilot, Oggs set about learning the ropes in order to shape the business for the future.  It was during this period that it became clear that the diligence, professionalism and approachability demonstrated by Wayman in the collision investigation field was commutable to the provision of all expert witnesses.Managing Director Oggs Wayman wayman forensic experts

Upon reaching his 70th birthday Len decided itwas time to hand over the reins and Oggs became Managing Director. Len has not completely retired though and can be cajoled into taking the odd case. He remains involved with the business, available as a mentor to the experts and provides general advice and guidance over business direction, thus ensuring the standards he so rigorously applied are maintained.
